BIRTH TRAUMA
Psychological Birth Trauma is essentially post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) after childbirth. PTSD can follow any traumatic event – such as being in a car accident, being sexually abused or having a very difficult birth. It can also happen to people who have witnessed a traumatic event, so people who have seen someone else violently killed, for example, often experience PTSD. This is why some partners, and even midwives, experience PTSD after seeing a traumatic birth.
In most cases, what makes birth traumatic is the fear that you or your baby are going to die. Physical birth trauma is as injury, often painful, caused by the birth itself.

BURRELL EDUCATION & INTOYOU
Jenny Burrell, creator and director of Burrell Education in the UK, approached Clare Hozack from IntoYou in 2015 to represent her in Australia and New Zealand.
Both Jenny and Clare believe that women are underserved in the fitness and health industries, and aim to “bridge the gap”. They do that by providing truly female-focussed, well-researched, and specific continuing education for personal trainers, physiotherapists, and massage therapists who want to serve this population better.Read More
