PELVIC ORGAN PROLAPSE

As personal trainers, we have the power, not only to avoid causing pelvic organ prolapse, but to reverse it one full degree. While many of us may not be asking about pelvic health in our screening process, we would encourage you to start today! In this course, expect to be blown away by the simple strategies that took Mel from managing prolapse to reversing it. We approached her rehabilitation in 3-ways:

  • Addressing posture
  • Addressing strength
  • Addressing timing

Mel already had prolapse before her second child was born, and came to train at IntoYou simply because it was safe for her to do with prolapse – she expected to stop it getting worse, but didn’t expect it to get better! We used movement and specific strength training tools, and by the time Mel had her third child in her 40’s, she had to push her baby out for the first time!!

In this course we will show you precisely how we chose movements for her, unloaded, loaded, and synchronised her deep core in such a way as to tighten the pelvic tissues, but maintaining their mobility, agility, and length.

These powerful strategies are a game changer for your clients with prolapse.

BURRELL EDUCATION & INTOYOU
Jenny Burrell, creator and director of Burrell Education in the UK, approached Clare Hozack from IntoYou in 2015 to represent her in Australia and New Zealand. Both Jenny and Clare believe that women are underserved in the fitness and health industries, and aim to “bridge the gap”. They do that by providing truly female-focussed, well-researched, and specific continuing education for personal trainers, physiotherapists, and massage therapists who want to serve this population better.
