Edgar K. Tham is Singapore’s pioneer sport & performance psychologist; he was employed by the Singapore government as its very first sport psychologist in 1995.
As the travelling team psychologist to numerous national team athletes competing at the Southeast Asian (SEA) Games, Asian Games, Commonwealth Games, Olympic Games and others, he had personally coached Olympic and World Championship level athletes to achieve greatness.
Edgar is the founder and Chief Sport & Performance Psychologist at SportPsych Consulting, Southeast Asia’s largest sport & performance consulting company with offices in Singapore (HQ), Indonesia & the Philippines. As a serial entrepreneur, he is a co-founder of several start-ups and lifespan development brands.
He is currently an associate teaching faculty in Applied Sport Psychology at the Singapore University of Social Sciences (SUSS), and also lectures at external university programmes from Edinburgh Napier University UK (Sport Psychology) and the University of Wollongong Australia (Psychology of Physical Activity & Health).
